General -this works fine for what I use it for..but the remote has to be pointed perfectly at the device for it to perform...I am not employed that with today's technology. For example, I can point my automobile remote in the opposite path of my automobile from 200 feet away and it still operates. For this strobe...you have to aim it like a gun and be within ten feet. Also - I WAS surprised how quick the AA batteries died - only a handful of months. I will update this if I can with my second batch of AA's...
Update: Attempted extra double AAs...and they died just a swift...it does not make any sense how this thing sucks downs batteries..
Update as of four/11 - this device is now in the trash :(
The technique functions ok in each motion alarm and safety alarm modes. 1 of my remotes doesnt function and I am working on acquiring it replaced.
