I've had my technique for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that applying greater high quality batteries than those supplied will mean altering them closer to as soon as a year. Not bad at all, offered that I don't have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they look somewhat tacky in my opinion. Rather, I got a couple additional motion detectors to deliver complete coverage of my home. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do pick up my 4 pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I haven't had any false alarms exactly where I could not establish the lead to. There have been various days exactly where I forgot to disengage the process and walked right by way of the motion detection field. Naturally, I cannot blame that on the technique.
Overall, I'd say this is an incredible program for the price tag. The manage pad looks kinda inexpensive, so I did not prominently display it in my residence. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are very smaller and unobtrusive. I've told loved ones and close friends that I have the alarm method and most of them did not have any concept, as the detectors blend in extremely nicely.
Hi every person, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine 2 days ago. I set it up yesterday. Since the system comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only issue i had to modify was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been enough for me as that factor is as sharp as a needle. Considering that i have no pets and no youngsters i have mine on high and it really is superb. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing around with but they are operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode considering that the siren is quite loud, my ears had been ringing all night right after i had tested it. But i have outstanding comfort being aware of i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i feel i am in danger. It is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am very pleased with the process. I am told this a newer model, i am not pretty certain how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anyone could tell me the distinction that would be great. All in all i'm really happy with the technique and i'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of how sharp the motion sensor is and simply because the siren is really loud. I sleep properly at night....very properly.
