The Defender SN502-4Ch-002 is my initial DVR system and for what it has should certainly be my last. It stores a months worth of video and the video is surprisingly decent. On a 55" tv the excellent isn't substantially worse than what typical cable, working with only the coax cable, would be. The color quality is great. As far as the night vision I am incredibly surprise on how properly the night vision video. Often I just like to turn to the dvr's channel to see if the pesky neighborhood cats are around. I've see a handful of fine cat fights with it, oh and you have instant replay! I hope this video helps. Make confident you get to the end to see video samples.
Let me just say that I put these systems in a lot for many people and its not a bad small household method. I like the capabilities that the DVR presents and it comes with every little thing you will have to have in a full package. The cameras on the other hand were not a fairly really good top quality. During sunny days the cameras get washed out with to substantially light so its difficult to see something from them. The IR use for the night time is superior but nonetheless far from high top quality. General this is still a fine method and worth the cost but mainly because of the cameras only three stars from me.
